I am learning to tell stories. For one, the kids LOVE them! For two, everyone loves stories. I was reminded the other night how important it is to record the little things the kids do that make you laugh, smile, and tear-up. Stephen pulled out our Jots & Tittles blog book. We printed our blog full of our family's daily life. The kids and us parents sat on our seat's edge soaking up every moment we wrote down. What a treasure!
So why not tell another?!
The other day Stephen went upstairs and found Fisher, our three-year old, wearing a fireman's hat. He told Stephen, "This is my winter hat to wear at the fireworks!" (By the way, Fisher despises fireworks! So in essence, he was getting prepared for the worst.)
This week I have been quite taken by the state of our home--a big, giant mess. I have been on a mission to conquer it. Fisher wanted to play with the marble race and no one else in the house wanted to join him. I told him I could build him a little one, then I needed to finish my cleaning.
With a pitiful quivering voice and a heavy bottom lip, he said, "Ma-ma, can 'oo build a yiddle, tiny big one?"
What can I say? The boy got a decent marble race that day!
It's tough being the baby of the family. They are always just so stinkin' cute!
